Nissan A15 industrial engines are used in forklifts and other equipment. Has anyone looked at these? How much difference is there between them and the automotive A15?

They are rated at 45hp. What else do you wish to know?

think the hav a steel head, with a (car) a15 head and probably cam and flywheel it would probly be the same.

They have an aluminum head. Yes, they are not much different to a car A15. Cam, head, exhaust, intake, replace the EFI with a carburetor, etc and you'd have a regular A15.

what kind of efi do they run?
im assuming its poop if you reckon a carby is better?

The only two Iv seen with a15 still had carbs? looked the same as the car carb to.. not that that means much.

In searching for engine parts by part number I am finding them from forklift suppliers at much lower prices than from car parts suppliers.

Parts are probably not designed for auto rpm redlines.

Whats interesting is the cg13 all alloy model is available with a
carby setup like some auto markets overseas and this engine complete
is 80kg and the a15 103kg, I know which one i would if aiming
for higher rpm output in a light car with 23kg advantage.

The industrial engines are designed with low power for long service life. The power is reduced due to the cams, intake and exhaust. The Nissan part numbers are the same as automotive for bearings, oil pump, timing chain, etc, but half the price as a Nissan dealer.
