hi
over the weekend ill be assembling my a15 engine, now im not sure how to get the timing chain back on. the a12 i did i replaced the timing chain as it was knackered (engine had nearly 010 of wear - i bet its done a million miles) and the replacement had a joining link but the stock ones dont seem to have that link. whats the trick to getting the chain on easily when there isnt a removable link? cheers, Cameron

A-series chains don't necessarily have a match link. Instead the pullys are marked. As long as you line up the pullys it will be OK.
![]() http://datsun1200.com/modules/mediawi ... ex.php?title=Timing_Chain Get a manual, a Gregory's or a Haynes or a Nissan factory manual. The bolts need to be torqued specially etc. ... the manual will have complete instructions.

ah thanks, it described the process in the b310 manual. Ive got a 120y workshop manual and official nissan manual for the b110 engine and another for the body but it didnt describe how to do it, its just full of measurements and stuff like that.
