I,m having a fue probs conecting the clutch cable and think I may be missing a part.
The cable passes threw the hole in the bell housing, am I missing a bush or something that fits in the hole first. With it like this there is no way to adjust up a clutch peddle.......Thanks in advance....

There are two size bell housing holes. You only need a bushing if your cable is the small size and your hole is large.
Adjustment is done elsewhere: On transmission: 3-4 mm play. Inside: pad height (139.5-143.5 mm from floor). Then check pedal free play -- it must have free play to avoid burning out the clutch -- check with fingertips). Pedal play is 11-15mm If you just changed the transmission you may have the wrong throwout bearing carrier, which makes it impossible to adjust the cluch to spec.

Looks like ive got a larger hole, can I buy a bush or do I have to have this made. Maybe I will have to get a new clutch cable to fit the hole. I think I have the ajustment correct as a fitted a prop in the hole but this wont last.....

I theorize you can by a bush. Look at the ones your local hardware store has the are just generic bushings. You can find one that's close and grind the length down.
Or just go to the wreckers and buy the right cable.

The 1970 to 1973 model 56 gearbox used the smaller hole while the 1974 & later 56A gearbox used the larger hole. The clutch adjustment is done where the cable passes through the firewall.

I had this problem when i fitted my later year 5sp to my 1200,
Problem was solved by machining a very simple ally bushing with small lip, so the smaller cable couldnt slide threw the large whole in the box...

A suitably sized large washer from a hardware store works fine too.
