#1 Just another 210

So, I purchased a 1981 B210 Deluxe Hatch a few weeks ago for $550. I'm new to Datsun's and I'm slowly falling in love with them. I'm looking for parts for my A15 to give it a little bit more power, short of just turbo charging it. What kind of parts are available for these engines and are relatively cheap? And what can you tell me about these A15? Reliability, tips for timing or any general info that I need to know about these engines.

I'm also in need of exhaust suggestions. I want to improve the tone from stock without making it annoying and riceish. Recommendations?

Thanks ahead of time!

You can get everything for an A15, cams, pistons, etc. etc. etc.

That's a B310. Look in engine compartment for the metal tag, it will say KPB310.

How much HP does the tag state?

Are you sure its a 310? All my exterior badges say 210. I'll check in the morning before work and get back to it.

Yes, Datsun B310 in north america is badged "210". But not "B210".

Datsun 310 is a front-wheel drive car. It's very confusing, so learn to use the right name, or you'll get the wrong parts!

Ok, now I'm very confused. My car is a RWD 310? I'm pretty sure I got the fact that its RWD correct :P

Your car is model series B310 badged as a "210", not a 310, and not a B210.

These are all different cars, very different: B210, 210, 310.

Ok, now I see what your saying. I was lost for a moment there. Thank you for clearing it up. Where is a good place to find parts for these A15 motors?

Tomei is the best place. For $10,000 you can buy a full race engine.

B-Projects has a lot of parts. $5000 will make you 120HP

If you are on a budget, start watching eBay. Search for (A12, A13, A14, A15).

There are B310 with small block chevy. It's cheaper than building up a small engine.
