what hp is good?

hi all, i just bought some a13 engines in from the states , i have an a13 (for class reasons) with twin 40's elec ign(+ all the fruit ,apparently) and a good set of pipes. is 104.5hp atw ,good hp or have i been duded(not game to tell what it owes me)? im happy ish with that but bang for buck im not sure. please give me some light.

Have you dyno'd it to get that figure or is that what your told ?
104 is respectable enough depending on what its in and being used for

if thats at the wheels its pretty good. if its at the fly subtract approx 20%.
still not bad. similar to boof heads a12

Rough benchmark for a good race-spec 2 valve/pushrod engine:
100 BHP per litre (at flywheel) - eg 1300cc / 130BHP 80 BHP per litre (at wheels) - eg 1300cc / 104BHP At 7500-8000rpm. You can view topic.
