TOP GEAR!!! 2 or 3 piece A series pro stock block

Being thinking of this for a while of a bike engine top end
with a car crankcase to suit common RWD gearboxes and finally the mob that has done the hayabusa v8 has done the H2. http://www.muzzys.com/ZX14/ZX14_Prostock/index.html http://www.h1v8.com/H2.html http://www.h1v8.com/H2.html http://www.h1v8.com/h1h2pricing.html However couldnt such a crankcase cost less than 8500USD !!!! just your opinion TOPGEAR or other 3d cad modeler dude. My idea and there could be better would be a 3 piece block lower case - unitary main caps and sump with flat alloy plate cover plate bolted at the bottom. mid case - holding the top part of the mains and completing the crankcase (both units also with bolt pattern to suit W series box (still available for hilux and hiace with interchangeability) or removable rear plate to suit all sorts gearboxes) Cylinder casing - the biggest piece of alloy billet for a bolt up pattern to suit and aftermarket head or option 2 - just dump this part and use the combined crankcase and use other bike cylinder cases and heads. Cheapest would be opt 3 Just the top part of the crankcase to suit bike crank, cylinder casing and head with bolt up pattern on rear to suit W series toyota box or t5 and custom unitary Mains ladder brace and custom tin sump. (gbox bolt up pattern will need some adaptors to suit the bottom or top part of the engine (or both) Opt3 would need the less amount of billet pieces and should provide a cheaper option for those wanting a good performer but not ruin your pockets. $8500 is roughly 80 hours of 3d design and 4/5 axis cnc programing and machining ($250.000.00 machine ) then you have the cost of the alloy billett (6061 is $9/$12 per kilo)and you start with say 40 kilos and machine off 30/35 kilos and that goes in the scrap bin. $8500 may sound like a lot of money but if you did this same project in australia and on a one off baisis you wouldn't get much change out of $20.000.00. Go the american option they allready have all the bugs sorted out .

I could go the china option, itll cost about 1000aud but wont fit anything
except the recycle bin :) I suppose if you are going to go through this trouble of using 40kg of billet alloy then you might as well aim for the v8 option. As for most cars here only worth 1k surely they are worth more than 4 year old Taxis :))

thats my Boss's Top Bike,
little changes all the time to keep you on your toes.. 4 valves to 3, change the stroke, clearance the block, support bearing here.. it's all good fun though..

Dundee 4 valves to 3 my kind of thing.
I love the 3 valve heads especially if they are for pushrods engines! Pity chev dumped the progress of the variable 3 valve pushrod smallblock. Only Barry Grant has a strange looking 3 valver now.

You can always use 4 valves on the Chevs with pushrods using the ARO heads
