ca is only legal one for 1200 far as i know, sr will be reliable with more power than ca, rotor will make #OOPS#loads of power, make awesome noises and just general craziness but will need a rebuild every week and you'll be driving from servo to servo lol, depends on what you want :)

yer i luv the sound of rotarys but im leaning mor toword the sr not gonna make it non turbo tho .so the ca is the only 1 u can put in ther is that cooz of the power to weight ratio?

it goes of capacity to weight, it's like 2.5 times standard weight for turbo, 3.5 times standard weight for turbo or some thing? so like 700 x 2.5= 1750cc and 3.5x700= 2450cc

its not 3.5 its just 3 times the weight of the car sould add up to the CCand how do rotaries drive from servo to servo i never heard that rx8 rotors are like that? rotaries are the best 300bhp on just porting and exhaust? dont be fooled by the ca18det the botom end is #OOPS# and is always starved of oil in high rmp so the engine wont stay cool and the engine weights to much for the car it puts the whole drive out like #OOPS# you need even portion weight in the front so its not so heavy in the front. GO THE 12A turbo

go the CA if you want a boosted car, go the SR or 12a if you want a beast NA car, dont bother with the 13b unless you can get a dodgy slip/engineer or do massive chassis work

lol chill man, i love rotors to but they're pretty heavy on the fuel. the rx8 is what 15 years at least ahead of the ca and is n/a as well

datto13b, have you ever driven a CA powered 1200? or compared the weight over the front wheels of a ca and rotor powered 1200?
with a half decent suspention setup there is absolutely no problems with geting round corners quickly and with weight distribution, remember that you also have a heavier gearbox in the middle of the car and a heavier diff in the back and whats so back about the bottom end on a CA? they have poor oil drainback from the head and they have a small sump...not really the hardest things to improve on they get starved of oil if you hold them flat out for a couple of minutes, and how often do you really do that. but its nothing a bigger sump or external return line wont fix not saying that there is anything wrong with a rotor, they are physiscally smaller so fit a bit easier. and a worked 12a can provide more than enough power to be a whole heap of fun wouldnt bother with an NA SR, they are heavier than a CA and take up alot more engine bay room for what? so you can say you have an SR?
