Dundee1000 Posted on: 2010/5/13 2:01
who ever knew..
I found there is 3 lengths of A series pushrods...

I only ever thought there was 2 lengths, sort for small blocks A10/A12 and long for big Blocks A14/A15..

there's always something to learn...

Don't the A14 and A15 have different strokes making the rocker assembly on the a15 further from the cam?

Hey did I see that Bpro were making the ultra light tappets now? Similar to the nismo hollow specials?

EDIT: Tappets/cam followers

Hmm, $$ and a weight would be nice to know..

The stroke shouldn't matter pushrod height as it is the cam C/L to head height that sets the pushrod length.

Where has the third length come from??

Correct, three pushrod lengths

Block 'A'
A10 with 59mm stroke. This is the shortest block with the shortest pushrods

Block group 'B'
1200, A12[from 1974], A12A, A13[1980-'82] These all had a 70mm stroke & use the middle length pushrod.

Block group 'C'
A13[US model, 1974 only] A14, A15. These used the 77mm stroke [A13 & A14] & the 82mm stroke [A15] but all shared the same basic block dimensions.
These all use the longest pushrods.
