#1 Datsun 210 parts compatibility?
metalmonkey47 Posted on: 2010/6/30 21:36
What other Datsuns have parts that are compatible with the '81 210 that would be worth upgrading to? I'm looking along the lines of brakes and suspension parts.

Also, are there any engines other then the A-series that will fit a 210 5speed?

The engine. Get the L20B, crossmember, mounts, etc out of a 1978-1979 Datsun 510. Or the Z20 out of 1980-1981.

Or get the engine out of a 1988 chevrolet corvette. If it'll fit into a B110 it'll fit into a B310 which is about 1.5" wider.

Theres an 89 ZR1 being parted out. Maybe I'll drop in an LT5. lol

LT5 won't fit ... hence the 1988. Are you serious? Because the small block chev fits pretty well. See photos at Engine Swaps

Dang, thats too bad it won't fit. They offered me the drivetrain at a low price.

Actually, I have a list of possible donors. You think a GM 4.3L Vortec V6 would be worth the time and money?

I got a nice one in a truck outside..

Makes sense. How about a small block ford? Maybe a 5.0?

small block ford fits the best, and is 50 pounds lighter than small block chevy
