Is this Too Advance or Too Retard ?

Hi Guys
I feel when the engine is cold it doesn't start at once it turns the engine and stops suddenly like weak battery then again it cranks and start the engine. i know it something with Distributor settings is it too advance or too retard ? what would your guys suggest ? thanks Regards sumith

If it was too advanced, you would hear it ping pretty bad, right?

rotate the distributor 2mm counterclockwise and see if it runs better.

if it is too advanced, retarding it would be easier to start, and the idle will be smoother. no more 'boiling' sound from the exhaust.
