can i use a hydrulic clutch on a datsun a12 gearbox

ive got a maddat clutch n wanted to know if i had to use cable clutch?

I think you can, pretty sure the bell housings are the same. Just need to cut a hole for the hydro setup (nissan has marked the spot on the gearbox as a raised oval shape) and dril and tap holes for the slave cylinder mounting points.
