stanza brake problems in ute

I installed a set of stanza struts a while back in my ute, problem is i'm at my 4th different brake master cylinder. the original one started leaking so i replaced it with a new one that tuned out to be faulty, replaced again and again faulty, bought a different make and works, but now the brakes keeps building up to the point where it's undrivable and i need to bleed it again and drive for about a day and same problem. it seems to build up the first time I brake really hard. any help please? it's the standard ute brake cylinder without the booster

I would have a look at the caliper itself and check the condition of the bore and piston. Being quite old I have found all brake parts of this era to be full of crap or the seals themselves needing replacement.

it's not a drum brake master cylinder by any chance?
with a line pressure valve?

yeah check that it doesnt have a residual pressure valve, even though ive never removed one and my discs have always worked fine
but also check that your brake pedal have some free play when its not pressed, otherwise it will slightly hold the brakes on when your foot is off

yes it's the drum brake cylinder, but a new one. can you post a pic of the line pressure valve? i have no idea what it looks like and if i have one. i took it in for new discs and brake pads, new linings at the back and scemeing the drums at the back. hope it fixes the problem...

My brakes builds up in front, the rear brakes are not not working at all atm because they are finished, but having them redone today, so i guess it can't be that valve. i'll keep you posted when i get the ute back from the brake shop

my problem only started once i fit the stanza struts in front, the drums would not stop properly even after servicing them.

Riaan, A brackbooster is a good option But your problem is the brake lines. You replaced the strats with the flexible pipes that came with it? The pipes are periched on the inside and thus work as a one-way velve, it is worse when the brakes are hot from stopping hard. When you brake flued goes into the caliper but the pipes prevent it from going bake thus stopping the ute.
Replace the flexible bracelines in the front, and your prob will be solved. The new discs and pads help this prob to be worse also. You can view topic.
