do autos dump fluid?

bout to pull the tailshaft out of an auto... do they drop their fluid like a manual out the rear? i cant remember
changing engine in dattogals coupe

stick an old slip yoke in there and you'll be safe

hmm, normally most slushies keep most of the oil in the pan so I think you'll be OK.
Of course all advice is unproven until you pull it out and get covered in fluid upon which I will say told you so ![]()

yeah... well its going to hit some high angles on its way out of the car, so i guess it will come out then anyway... i have another yoke, but have to cut it off a shaft so prefer not
oh well...... the old a12 from the rally car is going in for nowm the current is using 3ltrs oil a week

I had a 1600 like that .... pull into a service station "fill the oil and check the petrol"
Yes i am old enough to remember when you got driveway service at petrol stations

was back in NZ a month or so ago, they still have service attendants at servo's, wondered what was going on when the young'un asked if I needed the oil and water checked
.Good old fashioned service and a part time job for a kid, win all round.

yeah, I have actually had to drain a few diesels when the pump kid filled it with petrol (and vice versa). Can be a real prick of a job with the newer cars..
