Looks like a decent job but then again not the greatest detailed pics.

Well spotted! It'd nearly be worth dumping one of my utes if it was well done. It's worth the 3 hour drive to have a look at.

Would be a good yarn with the bloke to see what/how he did it.
My guess is he has used the complete roof/B pillar assy from a coupe and then integrated it quite nicely

If you could put the engine in the rear then your legs
will have the room required in the engine bay. The pedals will need to be just behind the radiator. Shoota already has trouble fitting in a higher roof ute. Sardines have more room in cans.

I reckon he cut the ute and coupe in the same spot and then welded them in the same spot. Coupe front, ute rear. Maybe????

Actually, I totally disagree with myself! you can see that he has cut the coupe behind the vents and welded the ute on there.
What a huge effort!!

I met the old fella when he and his wife were trying to work out
what my car was while visiting melbourne, we chatted a while he has heaps of things for sale as his getting out of Datsuns. Will be worth investigating. He has heaps of GX bits if anyone is looking eg. gx heads bonnets and more.
