multi coil setup on A series...

what type of setup is it? found this one picture on the net... A using multi coil?

Doesn't seem to be true multi coil as it still uses a distributor?
Some kind of redundancy built in or boosting the coil output maybe?

trippy! it seems to use some kind of amplifier also
where they meet but cant work it out as its a points setup by looking at the red coils?
