hi i was just curious about why the jetting in the weber and stock carb are so different for e.g weber dgv might have a size 140/140 for main jet primary and secondary while the stock carb has 96/135!
why are the jets so much bigger on the primary side for webers and why are they really close to the secondary main jets sizes aswell? if i was to put on a weber 34adm on my engine and i was to jet it down from 140/260 could i use similar jets from a dgv weber from a cortina or somthing maybe the 140 is okay for primary but the secondary will flodd the engine so maybe 145?? Thanks!

because they have different venturi sizes, which means different air speeds past jet, which means different amount of 'vacuum' pulling fuel through, therefore the hole in the jet needs to be a different size to get the same amount of fuel through
