Is it an electric choke? Is so you just need a 12v ignition source. The voltage just works a coil spring to open the choke. By the time it opens the car is usually warmed up. Easy enough.

Hi datsa73

ok, thanks, This is what happened i saw that wire was disconnected from the clip it was connected earlier as i remember this time when i brought the car from mechanic that wire was not connected ,mechanic was telling me it was very difficult to tune the car and he made it little advance too, does it related to this connection ? so i took that wire and hooked into the choke connection after that car runs little fast idle. i want to reduce idle speed little down now.

thanks

It will make it idle fast when cold- should be as he tuned it once warmed up and driven for a bit. What rpm it idle at now?

Hi unfamilia

I don't know exact amount of rpm , But it is clear after connecting that wire it runs about 50-70 more rpm than earlier.it is too much for my hearing now called him and told about hi he wanted to bring the car back.will see how it will work

If it's 900rpm or so with ac I wouldn't worry.

Hi unfamilia

With AC it is ok that rpm but without ac it is too much , i will not use ac every time since most of the time i am traveling hill country which is very cold, so checked price of used FICD because i don't have it on mine before buying that must be sure that i can hook it too.

FICD is not important. Just set the idle at 750 RPM in 'D' instead of 650 RPM in 'D' and it will run OK whether Aircon is on or off.

I highly recommend connecting the choke wire. When the engine is cold, it will raise the idle speed to around 1500 RMP and richen the mixture. This is good. A tap on the throttle will drop the RPM to about 1200. Then when the engine is warm, it will go back to normal idle speed and normal mixture.

Hi DD

Thanks , that was the reason it was hard starting when cold specially early morning,i think it is too advance have a knocking and misfire on higher rpm and starting on few steps like suddenly starter motor rotates and stops while keing and then again turns it and start

thanks
