Hey
So i noticed this problem driving yesterday, when the car was warming up and i accelerated hard the radio would turn off. This led me to check the alternator and battery with the car running it was reading about 18 volts? Does this mean the voltage regulator is stuffed? This seems way to high? Thanks

Yes, the regulator is not working. It keeps voltage below 15.5 volts.
Could be a loose wire or something. If all looks good, replace the regulator.

yellow pages, look for 'auto electrician' or 'alternator service'. there aren't many left these days.

Too right datodude, I got o decent one who's pushing 65. He does things slow and only reason he doesn't want retire is so he doesn't have to spend time with the mrs.
I hope she's round for many years to come ![]()
