estyre Posted on: 2012/4/30 7:02
Hey everyone I am chasing a set of 4 longchamps in 13 inch ,and as wide as 9 inch

If i can get a matched set or 2 matched pairs ,ide like 8.5inch all round if anyone has any but ill consider anything wider than 7.5 inch with abit of dish

Would like to stay with 13s but if a good set of 14s comes up ill buy them

Also willing to pay postage to wa !

I don't want bent rims ! Abit of rash is fixable but within reason

I'm willing to pay so show what yous have ! :D

AE86dc and yahoo Japan are your best bets but finding them in 13's past 6.5 inches wide is near on impossible. 7's on yahoo come up every now and then and as far as anything higher goes they're like hens teeth. I've only ever seen 8's twice online, once on the SR20ve 120y here and I've looked damn hard. I've resigned to getting some MK2's in 8's :(

hey estyre,

genuine 8.5j 13inch rims would cost quite alot.by genuine i mean ones that haven't been 'widened'. What some folks do is widen the rims as they are 3 piece.so they buy any J size (as they only need the center piece),take the center piece and attach them to other wider rim 'shell'.advantage of that is u can get exact offset and dish/width you are after.
a genuine set will set u back minimum aud2500k as 8.5j width in 13inch are quite rare.Ofcourse others have mates of other mates who can get them for 100bucks....

800bucks for a pair is dirt cheap.Only prob is getting the other pair.and find out if they have been widened...some buyers prefer genuine but if your not worried about genuinity, widening is a viable option to get custom offset and width.

saw pics of ur ute on other thread, looks top mate.love its stance and colour and "jdm" styling!

cheers

Well it depends on how much you want them. There is always the option of getting a smaller set widened but that can end up costing a fair bit when you can actually find a place that will touch them. I dare say though you will have a lot of trouble finding another pair like them if you are definitely keen on Longchamps.

haha cheers man ! its taken alot of time and money to get it to where it is ,still need wheels and panel work ,but its getting there

im not fussed about them being widened ,i was looking and a set of 4 mk2s are cheap as #OOPS# if i buy skinny ones ,like 5.5 with pretty crap ofset ,could i use the rear halfs of mk2s on the front lip side of longchamps? like flip the rim round and polish it?

im set on longchamps cos they look pretty damn awesome ,i rand otomoto and they said to get a set in ide be looking at around 1500 to 1800 ,which im happy to pay for good wheels !

cheers

What they do is get a 'blank' rim and go from there.others use two halves.different ways.major advantage of this is u get custom offset suited for look needed.

But if you could pick them up from otomoto for that price, that would be your best bet then.a set of four 13inch 8.5j are not cheap.and was that price quoted with tires or not?

also do you know what offset your after?as you might need to flare guards depending on offset.get an idea before ordering mate

cheers

Yea I was gonna. get the same ofset as the rims on my it only 1 inch wider ,I checked it out and there is abit of room and ill still have dish :)

Doing it with blanks would be pricey but they'd be perfect
