You may find you need to re engineer it from one state to next as they may not be transferable.
Contact rta in nsw or qld transport in qld. Vic roads on Vic and other states don't have cars as horse and buggy still prefered by the vokels

Dont knock it till you try it Mik.
I put new bearings in the buggy, gave the horse some extra hay ( soaked in RedBull ) and it goes hell fast now :)

i know you cant transfer rego from state to state. you need to get a brand new rego for that state.
dunno about mods though.

contact rta- depending in vic sometimes they can issue a new vin but it makes reslae a pain and the car worthless.

sometimes they wont touch it as cant trace the history of it.

you'll have to apply for transfer of rego for the new state. as far as mods are concerned when i went from nsw to qld i applied for mutual recognition. the qld authorities looked at the paperwork as evidence of the mods and these were accepted, no mod plates required. i have a laminated copy of the certificate in the glove box to show the police. i presume qld to nsw would be similar.
