#1 Removing rear shocks in 120y

Hello am in need of some help removing rear shocks. Where it bolts up in boot I have undone the top nut, but the bottom nut, just turns, I hold the shock with one hand and try to the undo the nut, but it just turns, what am I doing wrong, any help is much appreciated, I am new to this

Did you put a spanner on other end? Or are shocks inverted on 120y? If so I've used vice grip to hold it up high to stop insert spinning- not propper way but works

When you say the lower nut, do you mean that there were two nuts at the top of the shockie i.e. the top one acting as a lock nut, or the securing nut at the bottom of the shockie?

Don't be undoing the one under the leaves in the center of the leaf spring pack either.

Yes, the shock rod is free to rotate. This means you must stop the rod from turning, not the body of the shock.

The top of the rod is flattened so you can get a wrench on it, or may be slotted so you can use a screwdriver.
