#1 IRS trailer?
Datsunbloke Posted on: 2012/7/28 11:17
So i picked up this ratty old 6x4 trailer off ebay this week that i wanna drag behind my ute, plan it to lower it with a pair of wheels to match the car but just had a stupid idea about putting a K frame from a 1600, S13 or RX-7 to get some mad camber, only issue i can think of is shock towers but not sure if i would even have to run them due to the light weight and ive never seen a small trailer with shocks before. Also its been ages since ive been under a 1600 but i assume that you can still roll them around without a centre and axles.

Anyone heard of something like this done before? could just be a lot of #OOPS#ing around for minimal gain but could turn out to be cool as #OOPS#.

Cheers.

Trailer design is all about how light can you make it.
A heavy trailer limits the weight you can carry on the trailer.

wont be putting much weight on it, maybe the odd engine, esky, motorbike or something. 99% wank factor.

thinking a pov be easy option would be to get a new square axle and a pair of sqaure stub axles, cut the ends of big axles off then weld the stubs at 2-3o ontop. if o weld the #OOPS# out of it it will be strong as and will give me more clearance when lowered. Not IRS but cheap, fast, kinda nasty and will look the goods.
