Super rare NOS and / or reman bits! Unfortunately, it's all round port kit, not GX oval port. That puts it into the pricey eye candy territory, IMHO. (I chatted with the seller when this was first listed and educated him on the differences)

This has been up for sale on and off for close to a year I think I commented on it some time back. I always end up tempted to email the seller and tell them to check prices. This is more than a race motor. Best not to say anything as likely would peeve the seller..............free to ask what they want.

"Datsun 1200 76mm bore A12A 1296cc full race engine. Named "Biv-Tec". J&E high compression race pistons, with compression in the 14.5 to 1 ratio. Custom knife edged lightweight A12A crankshaft. Uses a steel wet sump competition oil pan and a custom competition oil pump with outlets for remote oil filter and cooler. Includes an oval port dual intake manifold but NO carburators. SALE $3500."

This motor is located 2 hours drive from my old house in the US. I contemplated buying itast year when I was back from holiday but the seller wouldnt budge on price. Never whebt to look at it. I had thoughts of bringing it to Oz

For you 1000 owners, if you really know your stuff.......Those are components of the excel performance range offered for the Datsun 1000 in the JDM.

I made a very good offer on the parts perhaps a year but they rejected it. They have priced themselves out of the market and have no idea what the parts are all about. Sure it's only round port stuff but these types of carbs are quite capable of out-performing the DCOE, PHH, DHLA types.

Those are Mikuni PHH carbs.

Ai, you are correct. I was making a comparison to the DHLA/DCOE/PHH bolt patterns, which are identical.

The early PHH carburetor (the more uncommon type, such as the units pictured in the above link) have a much closer bore spacing, providing a better flow path into the closely spaced inlet ports of our beloved A-series.

DHLB are the Dellorto equivalent of the Mikuni Early PHH and the DCOP are the Weber equivalent.

Here are some 35 DHLB carbs, much smaller than DHLA:
