Anyone tried to take out the axels on a bluebird diff?
Tried banging, pulling and even heating. Is there a trick? Would appreciate any tips.

did it last week
take caliper off, undo 4 bolts, undo handbrake cable and it should pull out put the drum/disc back on the wheel studs backwards then wind each of the wheel nuts on a couple of turns, then use the drum as a slide hammer by sliding it back and forward on the wheel studs

Thanks mate. I'll give the reverse disc a try. Are the normally hard to get out?

i've always done it that way, takes about 3 or 4 decent slides and it pops out,
make sure the car is well supported so it doesn't fall (especially if using cheap axle stands)

Will definitely give that a go. No problem with the car being supported, the diff was taken out!
