they would be fine in my opition but i have found that most of the time stock has had enough time and research put in it to run standard turbos to their max anyways.

I have one here brand new, never used, for reasonably less than the ebay price if you want it. This same brand but bottom mount: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-NISSAN ... ories&hash=item5193b07aa9

The ports look like they were done by a monkey but the welds are good and nice thick tube. Warranties speak for themselves.

I should say it is for a T2 series not T3

I'd use the stock one

thought you were doing a DE?

i say stock, ceramic coating it would be nice though, a lot more design goes in to them than these aftermarket ones, unless you want big power there is no point upgrading especially if going for a cheap one

What ever you do don't get Maddat to make you one, unless you want to sent it back a few times to fix it so it properly fits, if only they trail fitted the stuf before they send it out.. I guess everything is of a jig there from 20 years ago

My 2cents

Was going DE but gave up when weighing up the cost of billet cams, bigger valves, porting, custom TBs running on Brand ecu, springs, custom header, custom cam belt and some other things when a reasonably stock ca16det on nistune would be way gutsier with less effort. No cant fit an SRVE in a 1000 :(

Ca16de+T block can be bore to 84mm as some have done on the exa forums.

Problem with stock ex mani is its just too far back for the turbo with no room for dump pipe and bottom mount sits turbo too close to suspension wishbone and support shoulders so will most like have to make a custom log mani from scratch using butt welds.

I may have something.
I made a steam pipe manifold and dump pipe that moves the turbo forwards 5 - 10 cms.
It was only used for short time as I swapped to stainless.
Will need custom oil/water lines, but with you doing ca16, you are already doing this.

Can you put a pic up Chis? sounds interesting is it straight out, top mount or bottom? problem is the bottom mount hits suspension tower.
