has anyone used a gt 3540 on a ca18det motor before if so wats the lag like also wat turbo do people recomend for a built ca any help would be great

You could PM travo_6t9. His CA has or had a GT3082 or similar on it.
OHHYEH You'd want reasonably sized cams and maybe some head work at a minimum. I've had a chat about what I would move to if I wanted to go a bigger turbo and was recommended either a GT3071 or GT3076. Also would depend on what you want out of it.
