Hi I was wondering if anyone can decode a VIN number, would like to know some info, as in production month and year. I can post VIN if someone knows how to work it out. Cheers

Depends on the year I think. post 1976 the FAST system should tell us something.

The car is a 1973 model but the compliance plate with the build date is missing so I do not know what month it was produced. Car is registered and I've had no issues with registration in the 12 years I've had it, but I'm hoping to put some sort of plate there to fill in the blank spot. Looks like the FAST system won't help me

Eng no. Is A12527040

Aw I cannot find the data now. Production month and year was in some of the Nissan printed catalogs. As far as I know, FAST doesn't have B110 data, but E-FAST did.

It cannot be guessed at as some of the higher numbers are earlier built.
