datsun 1200 alternator

Hey does any one have a Datsun 1200 alternator , my current one is mounted up high to the left so I'm a little confused...also does any one know if there is any where to get one and what specs I need ... It's really confusing ... thanks

Standard alternator is 35amp I think, and is externally regulated.
I have a Bosch one on mine, it is 40amp I am pretty sure and is internally regulated so there is only 2 wires coming off the back. I had to make custom bottom mounts for mine as the holes didn't meet/line up accordingly. Someone more knowledgeable (probably ddgonzal) will be able to shed some light on specific alternator models for you to use :)
