Broken Valve Guide

Hi Guys
One valve guide was broken out from my b210 head and valve seats are also not so good ,few of those are little deeper than expected, so thought to buy new set of valve and give them to do valve guide and seat what do you suggest ? one of a Nissan Dealer told me he can give me a valve about 7.5 U$$ is it a good price ? thanks regards sumith thanks regards sumith

The valve guides are replacable, the dealer or a compitent machine shop should be able to do this for you. As for the valve seats, unless they are worn too much they should be able to reface them also, if not, they are also replacable.

thanks, not all but few of them are deeper than others so, i need a hassle free engine running for few years without any issue ,since i have put most of the things new on it . thanks regards sumith

$7.5 USD is a good price.
Go according to Datsun factory specifications (see your repair manual). If the valve seat width is worn to greater than 1.3mm (intake) or 1.8mm (exhaust), then a simple lapping will not work.

Hi Guys
I bought a new set of Valve Kit and machined the valve seats too and fixed a broken Valve Guide too , it is ready to proceed with rest of the engine work now. thanks regards sumith You can view topic.
