#1 EOI / For sale A Series race cylinder head - Sydney
benny Posted on: 2013/4/3 11:18
As the subject says, I have a cylinder head for sale /EOI. The head is based on the H89 casting and has the following specs.

Ports - Inlet 38mm tall x 30mm wide
- Exhaust 29.2mm tall x 27.4mm wide

The ports have had extensive work around the short radius and the area around the back of the valve.

Valves - Inlet 40mm head 8mm stem stainless
- Exhaust 33mm head 8mm stem stainless

Head has been angle milled in order to stand the valves a little more upright. This helps with piston to valve clearance when you have high lift cam and large diameter valve heads. Helps also with avoiding deep flycuts in the piston crown.

Because the head has been angled milled the thickness differs from the port side compared to the spark plug side of the head. Thickness dimensions are:

74mm port side.
68.5 spark plug side.
~ 71mm in the middle.

In addition the push rod holes have been enlarged to account for the angle, The head bolt holes have also been milled square to the head gasket face, so that the head bolts clamp square to the block.

Comes with double valve springs and custom spring retainers and has new manifold studs fitted. 1 Valve guide will need to be replaced due to what looks like to be a crack near the cir-clip where the guide is pressed into the head.

All serious offers considered.

Pics below.

cheers
benny

They are not touching, but they are close. No I haven't had it flow tested, never got around to doing it. Head is untouched from when I bought it years ago. Never got around to using it, and I have come to the decision that I probably never will. Hopefully someone in the 1200 community may use it.

Those valves are no where near touching, Ive seen 42mm inlet valves that almost touch but they dont as the springs were good. These will have no issues whatsoever great head Benny!
