#1 Brake Lines, where to get custom
ZigZag Posted on: 2013/8/17 2:10
Has anyone had brake lines made up in Brissy? I need a complete system re-done including hand brake.

I had my brake lines done by mobile auto hoses in Clontarf and my hand brake cables by control connections in Sandgate.

I just had my system done in Melbourne I supplied most of the stuff which cost about $300 and they charged me $400 labor and some shop supply's so all up around the $750 which was hard lines and ADR braided lines

I just redid the rear pair of hoses in PVC coated braid with stainless fitting for about $180, they are fairly long though due to my rear end setup. Took the guy about 20 mins to make from my template/sample.
I had it all originally done a few years ago so I can't remember what I spent for the fronts and the hard line to the back.
The hand break lines just needed modifying and were done in a couple of days.

That is generic brake lines such as you can buy at any auto parts store, or from Summit racing. Not custom.

yeah i have a shortened hilux diff and R31 coilovers up front and the maddat booster so it all needs to be custom and ADR approved.

So buy ADR-approved lines of the appropriate length ...
