I would buy all the wiring from another ute, either from a club member, or one in a wreckers.

Otherwise it's a lot of work matching wire sizes and colors, wrapping and sorting, fitting proper connectors, etc. There are four main harnesses and seven branches.

As DD suggests you are best to start out with the factory 1200 loom for lights, dash etc. But from what I've seen you post here you intend running a fairly modified CA so you'll probably think about running an aftermarket ECU (ie. Motec,Haltech,Wolf,Autronic) and these should come with all engine to ECU wiring.

If you want to go full custom wiring for everything you'd need to look at something like a 'Painless wiring kit' or similar, like a lot of the Hot Rodders use.

However if you are thinking of using the standard Nissan ECU (or a modified version) you might want to talk to Kev Rowlley as he has made up looms for hundreds of CA converted Dattos.
His email address was in a recent post....just do a search on his name.

There is an alternative !!!

you could spend 12 months modifying a loom yourself and find that you have no hair left and no brain cells under the no hair because you broke them all trying to figure it all out yourself .... sounds like fun to me.
