Just got my crossmember from Kev Rowley. Has anyone used any other engine mounts other than the stock s13 ones with one of these crossmembers?

Also just picked my crossmember up from Kev. Was also curious about this. Kevin designed his crossmember to the standard mounts because that is what came in the front cut. If you find another mount the same height as factory, they will still work. I will be using the factory style ones (not genuine) as they are fully silicon and will provide a good cushion and Kevin recommended to. But of course, each to there own.

I think the cortina ones are shorter than stock ca mounts but also a bit firmer. You may just need to file the crossmember slots a bit further down. they are better than stock mounts providing that there is enough clearance between the sump and the crossmember. A lower center of gravity is always good and lowering will give a tiny bit more clearance for the gearbox.

And I know the CA ones are off set. So I think in the opposite position you are able to get an extra 5mm clearance off the firewall.
