Hi guys
I have an opportunity to get my hands on 5 5speed FS5W71B Just wondering will they work on an a series engine. if not there is no point in me buying them.... Thanks

Yes, it will fit if you use an adapter plate, some machining and fabrication.
The 71-series can handle 200 lb ft torque, so is a good choice for a high-boost engine.

Unless you need an extremely overkill gearbox, it is much better to find a good A-series transmission. See 5-speeds.

Perhaps the most popular way to make an L-series gearbox fit an A-series engine is is to cut the front case and weld on a bit of case from a common A12 4-speed.
