What?
* If the carburetor needs a fuel cut-off solenoid, it will come with one. * A fuel cut-off solenoid has nothing to do with the choke. * No A12 engine requires a fuel cut-off solenoid

well theres this carburettor for sale and it has a electronic fuel cut off switch, and its for the A12 series maybe a later series
so would i be able to install that carburettor on my a12 and just leave the soleniod unconnected seeming it didnt originally have one? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Datsun-120 ... ories&hash=item338aa33212

That Carburettor is for the later aseries like a14/15.yes it cant bolt down as the orginal just a swap on.If you wish to leave it disconnected,Bypassing the Anti-Diesel Valve Unscrew the solenoid from the carburetor and take out the 'pin' in the middle. Then re-install the solenoid. Start engine to see if all is well.
It will no longer 'cut' the engine immediately, but otherwise the engine will run well with this pin removed.or Yellow wire - fuel cut solenoid To general IG circuit (hot when key is Run or Start) ![]()

Yes. Connect the fuel-cut solenoid to the ballast resistor.
