stripped thread help needed
Posted on: 2014/3/1 11:18
Any one in melbourne got a m10 or even imperial slightly larger hekicoil kit or timeserts they could help me out with.
Have a falcon and one of the water pump bokts was striped when I got it was 3/8 or m8 sizrd thread that was stuffed. I tapped it to m10 but its striped again after pulling water pump out and putting new one in. Other wise trying to find ez loc which is a threaded sleave internally and externally.

run the tap through the hole, use 60/60 loctite on a mild steel bolt, tighten let is go off cut flush and re tap at 8mm it will be smaller but it has no real loadbut will allow you some kind of clamping force

Did better found keyserts..... oh the joy. Even with slight thread once you bang in the little tabs its solid. Can yank and load it up like a 14year old with unlimited playboy mags
