A14 or A15?

Hi guys I'm thinking of getting an A series built to suit turbo. I have a mild A14 currently which I'm thinking of leaving complete and starting over fresh. Question is, what should I use as a base A14 or A15? A15 has more capacity, and most likely more torque aswell. Can anyone advise on which they think is the better base option.
Iv got a h75 head ready and no bottom end, but I know of a short motor A15 for sale for $350 If this goes ahead, I want to build it once and make sure the money is going into the right motor Thanks in advance

if you have the option, go for A15. no replacement for displacement

A14 makes a good budget motor, otherwise go for the cubic centimeters.

For a street motor, the A15, for all out race motor, it's not much different,as it comes down to how much you can get into the cylinder, rather than the capacity of the cylinder.
You've already found an A15, so in my opinion, you should use that motor. Leave it at it's standard bore for maximum strength, as well.

Sounds like the a15 is getting a lot of thumbs up. Next thing is to save up for forged pistons!

In NSW a14 doesnt need engineers certificate. a15 does.

What would be a good Budget of A14 rebuild if the Head was already done?

$200 for gaskets, rings, and bearings.
But for Turbo application, add the cost of forged pistons.

A14 is what I'm using for my turbo build
1mm over to 77 making it 77mm bore x 77mm stroke My engine builder likes the square dimension idea for this build You can view topic.
