Confused:spoilers,graphics,vinyl roof

I recently bought a 1972 Datsun 1200 coupe for $300. It has some things that are kind of confusing though. It has a rear and front spoiler, vinyl roof covering, and lower side graphics that say "Datsun". I was wondering if anyone knew if these were available as options or if they are aftermarket or what.

The side graphics were a dealer-installed option, as was the vinyl roof. The spoilers were most likely aftermarket items added by an owner along the way. Technically all of those items are aftermarket since they were not installed at the factory and are not genuine Nissan parts.

I've got a US parts manual which lists the vinyl roof as an optional part, as well as the side stripes and spot lights. In a Japanese brochure I have and must scan shows the coupes with the vinyl roofs too. The coupes were also offered a rear tonneau cover which covered the folded rear seat and secured the rear area of the car..I found one of those earlier this year in New Hampshire !! BRE offered spoilers for the 1200s in their catalogues and they were issued with a Datsun part number so they must have been available to dealers as well...By the way I'm stil on the look out for a 1200 clock and the bumber over riders on the US spec cars, can any one help ??

The vinyl top and graphics were probably Datsun dealer-installed items, installed on new cars before sale. Not factory items, but not necessarily considered "aftermarket"(?). I've seen several coupes with vinyl tops, these had carpets too. And spoilers were very popular, but probably added later on most 1200s.
spot lights? I've seen hundreds of US 1200s, but never seen spotlights -- as in what police cars have to focus a light on objects. I remember walking into Jim Fisher Datsun in Portland, Oregon around 1983 or so and seeing a pair of B110 fiberglass fenders hanging right above the parts counter!

as mentioned before, the vynal roof and the stripe were probably dealer installed accesories, as they were offered when the car was new.
the spoilers could have come from anywhere, including "Datsun Comp." (what is now called Nissan Motorsports) at one time they had a number of body parts available, unfortunatly they are no longer available.

If you could provide some photos it would help identify the spoilers?

wait a second!
people actually requested to have vinyl roofs? I thougth the entire ide behind the vinyl roof was so that the factory could use scrap bits of metal to make the roof and the joins coudln't be seen under the vinyl...
