Diff Help?

I'm installing a series 2 bluebird diff centre in my 1200 ute with H165 housing. It's gone in fine but the axles don't seem to reach. The car is still on stands, one hub just spins till you hold it and the other nothing just spins free. I have been on wiki and I'm stumped?

It will spin freely if it's on open diff. Stop one wheel from spinning and Spin the tail shaft and it should spin the wheel that is free, then check the other wheel with the same method. If u can get both wheels to spin then u should be fine...

When I hold one side and spin the other the tailshaft finally spins. I needed a helper, I've finished putting it back together now just waiting for the gasket to set and the oil will go in the morning. Can't wait to try it.
