I THINK it is M14 1.5 not easy to find in a pipe socket plug (flush fit)
if you are wanting to plug the rev switch hole, you can put a grinder through the switch near the wires, remove the rod and spring, secure the hex bit in a vice, drill & tap for M8 1.25. Then carefully cut the threaded section from the hex section. Grab am M8 1.25 bolt, cut a screwdriver slot in one end, trim to length, screw and loctite into the newly tapped bit. You end up with a flush fitting plug with a handy slot in the centre. The rev switch thread is parallel (not tapered) so some thread sealant would be wise to make sure the plug does not fall out or worse, fall into the gearbox.

Geez, that is certainly timely. We just spent how much time talking about this very issue!
I just did a very similar mod, that achieved the same results. I ended up cutting and reverse plug down, and then welding up the hole, and cut a grove into the top to use a flatblade screwdrive with it. I just then used some ultrablack to seal it in as i didnt have any locktite available at the time. You can view topic.
