I am doing a KA 24E into a 79 USA 210 Wagon. What's the news on the tranny cross member? The 210 has an A-14 with an auto tran. Thx

KA24E is awesome in a 1979 B310. S13 engine drops right in and already has the right oil pan fitted.
The KA series engines use the Nissan 71C 5-speed. The stock B310 automatic is 71B. 71C quite a bit longer than the B310 gearbox, but fits in the tunnel no problem, just have to cut out the portion where the gearshift goes. Use the stock B310 crossmember with a flat adapter plate and some spacers. The underside of the B310 has three sets of holes, so you can more the crossmember around.

Here's the normal 71C transmission (long one) compared to the 71B "stumpy" out of a 720 pickup.
The 71C needs a shifter hole cut out about 4" further back. The 720 version pops up in the right place, but is harder to find. ![]() The rubber insulator is pretty much the same S13 manual and B310 automatic, although it may not have the extra studs. S13 ![]() B310 ![]()
