Anyone here taken advantage of the new [trail based] NSW legislation that enables the freedom of using your machine outside of car club endorsed events. The trial provides Historic plate registered cars 60 days of use via the use of a log book system.
I signed up yesterday at the NSW RMS dept and it was straight forward and attracted no additional cost. A small win for those on a tight budget. All that changes is that the conditions are updated on the certificate of registration highlighting the participation in the trial. see details here: Classic Vehicle Log Book trial cheers

sounds good, ive always thought a car has to be virtually stock to be classified a historical vehicle? is that the case or is it purely on age of vehicle?

Per the RMS web page:
Quote: A classic vehicle is 30 years of age or older. This is a a great trial: Quote: trial will allow classic vehicles to be used for 60 days of general use (ie maintenance and personal use) each year, outside of club organised events You can view topic.
