Brake Upgrade

Hey guys,
I am thinking of doing a brake upgrade on my Datsun 1200 ute which has a worked A15 engine. I would preferably like some ventilated discs to replace the solid rotors, where I also don't need to replace the master cylinder. Something off the shelf or a mix of Datsun/Nissan parts with little modification. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

See 'Project builds'- 'Simons turbo fit up' page 3
Just my opinion but with good 'softer' pads, this simple 'street' setup pulls up real nice without adding big unsprung weight to a small wheel. Then again if your going for bigger than 13" wheels or some sort of track work, disregard this and there's lots of threads and Wiki to read from the search. dp

The easiest big-brake swap is 280ZX/Bluebird 258mm solid rotors - no machining necessary, and no disassembling of hubs.
Vented rotors? Hands-down easiest swap is 250mm S13 Brakes - no machining necessary except one cut to the rotor Both work with some 13" alloy wheels (don't work with 13" steel wheels). See: * 280ZX Brake Upgrade * S13 Brakes

zigmondo's swap is outlined at Big Disc Upgrade
It's the perfect swap if you've got access to A10(Stanza/510) or B310 brakes. The solid rotors are called a "street" swap, but racers have been using the solid 280ZX/Bluebird swap with glowing reviews. They are soooo big they work very well. You can view topic.
