Datto owner in Canberra ??

Hi All,
From memory there is someone from the 1200 club who lives in Canberra ?? I think it may have been "Lobster" if so are you OK up there ?? I may be going up the to help out with the Fire's etc. Might sound dumb put when I hear of a Fire somewhere I always like to make sure that they are ok. Regards amshaw

Yeah I am alive.
There were two fires in my suburb but they were freak things. Some guys was watering down the roof of his house and thought it would be a good idea to splash water into some electrical bits. Pretty much everyone else was down south more than us. Although today we have been put on precautionary alert. Fires are still outside the ACT at the moment... Was freaky on Saturday afternoon, I was down at BAtemans bay and at 4PM (It's summer over here...) it was pitch black. Apparently a petrol station blew up and that is what happened...

Bent Axel bob is probably left his house and is wetting down the roof of the pub...
Update : Fire is 10kms away from ACT now...

There is a strike team leaving from our area Friday to go to ACT. If anything I will be going mid week next week if still needed.
Or I may go to North East Victoria for the Fire's there. Just a little tip for you all. Not all the footage you see on TV is a going Fire but Firefighters burning breaks etc but the #### has hit the Fan. For our Mates OS there has been 4 Death's and over 400 Homes lost. Ive been told the locals are pointing the finger of blame on the Fire service there but to be far as I understand it there is next to no water in the area and it takes time to get "Elvis" and other water bombers on the go, if they can find water etc. Good to hear that Lobster and family are ok, just hope bend axle doesnt get to close to the flame as I dont think he would like hot arse beer. I can see him at the pub yelling at the firefighters to save it or at least stealing someone's bobcat to put in a bare earth break around the pub.  Regards & Stay Safe amshaw

Yes, I saw the reports on US televison about the Canberra fires and was also wondering about our fellow club members. What is "ACT"?
