dd geez you also using the word bakkie already lol. The word bakkie was used by the old boere -- they would say ''gooi dit agter op die bakkie'' --throw it on the back. The model you should get on the same page you got the bakkie. The two main colours were grey and brown interior. The heritage bakkie that was shown i have never seen here [could be i missed it]The best seller [looks] was the 1400 Champ --known as 'the bakkie that built south africa' cos all gov and small business used the bakkie.I think this is about 2006 ---a model just before the heritage

This one is said to be a 1994. The grille emblem (large NISSAN) differs from the one above which uses the JDM 1990-1994 small NISSAN badge

the biggest challenge in identifying the year ... is the large amount of fixing/improving that is done. Fixing wrecked cars with inexpensive newer parts. Improving old cars with the "new look"
Like this bakkie. It looks like the 2008 Champ shown above. However the Junkmail advertisment says it is a 1994. Grille badge removal makes it hard to date, as does removal of NISSAN decal on the tailgate. However there are some visible things * 1990s style upholstery (brown) and steering wheel * It has the old 1200-style side indicators. The new smaller type was used starting in 2005 i think * wing fender decal 'NISSAN 1400' used in the 1980s and 1990s It's got those Baokang wheels

Here's a nice stock-looking Champ from GumTree SA. Seems the 2000 had new Gray interior but still the old indicators and old graphics
The Champ has extras that do not come on the Standard including: * Bucket seats (instead of bench) * Tachometer * Speedometer with Trip Meter * Silver spoker wheels instead of white * Mudflaps front and rear * Head Rests * Spot Lights The canopy looks like a Carryboy Full Door Highroof, and is has NISSAN embossed into the door. As canopies go it is the ultimate Attach file: 2000 Champ 1 Silver Wheels.jpg (82.72 KB) 2000 Champ 2 spot light mounts.jpg (71.89 KB) 3 it's a really high roof.jpg (45.40 KB) 4 Champ graphics.jpg (68.04 KB) 5 Canopy with Full Door.jpg (82.13 KB)![]() 6 Gray Interior.jpg (98.15 KB)![]() 7 Steering Wheel with cover, Tachometer.jpg (100.92 KB)![]() 8 RH Door Panel.jpg (94.19 KB)![]() 9 seats with Head Restraints.jpg (101.59 KB)![]() 10 Trip Meter.jpg (58.41 KB)![]() You can view topic.
