Hi guys
Quick question rear wheel cylinder waa leaking and now fixed but drum very tight and binding in reverse. Have adjusted at top, seems to be three settings and still binding. Does the brake fluid cause the shoes to swell?

Is it the Jap type diff or the BorgWarner. What's the handbrake setting like? Did you replace the brake shoes aswell?

Grease-soaked brake shoes will grab and work erratically. Brake fluid contaminated shoes may do the same -- even if you clean them
After fixing the leaking cylinder, make sure you adjust the rear brakes (they are not auto-adjusting), which includes backing off the handbrake and wheel adjuster

The problem was I put the shoes in back to front!

Good to know the solution, and that it can cause binding
