Yes you can buy the adjustable cam sprocket alone, instead of as part of a complete timing chain set

I know you can get the whole lot my sprocket is warn out and need a new one with out buying the whole lot

Where do you get the whole lot? The above ones are only selling the one sprocket

just the sprocket not the carrier that comes with it,
is that plan enough

I haven't seen any that sell only the rim (tooth wheel) of the sprocket, i've only seen them selling the rim + hub as a complete unit

If you already have an adjustable sprocket then the specific manufacturer parts only fit it. In other words a Tomei sprocket rim (probably) won't fit a Pitroad sprocket hub
