Andrew, how hard would this process (converting to electronic ignition) be to do yourself? Do you just have to change over gears or something??

I have just bought a rally car and I want to run electronic ignition in the A12 motor I am going to build for it.

Cheers,
Simon

hi andrew, was that an n13 or an n12,because i've used n12's but they're becoming harder to find,so maybe the n13 is usable.to mr nismo_4,glad to see ya back,i second andrews suggestion, call jeff taylor,he can probably supply one to you easier than hunting one up yourself.

Crow Cams do a kit it's called the fireball, it drops straight in (after you pull the guts outta ya dizzy, it drops in and wires up, it's a high powered one as you get a box to help run the elect ignition. Except sells for bout $250 I've been told they are excellent.

hey i just checked out the link on the programable ignition, from the supplier, it sounds bloody good!!!

someone please tell me whether this is a good purchase or not?

i like the idea of being able to set max rpm too!

would the main features of this thing be intergrated into the computer i buy for the injection therefore making it useless?

Sure, though depends on what you want.
Some injection computers include ignition control, others don't.

If you want the programmable setup, you won't get that from the stock electronic dizzy.

If you just want the extra reliability, hp and easier starting of electronic ignitiion, it might be cheaper to convert the Pulsar ignition. discussion. In the US using the B210 or 210 electronic distributor is the cheapest way to go, and it has a bigger cap. discussion.

To dig up more details, use the search box on the left, look for:

electronic dizzy
