A12GX block identification

Hi,
Is there any way to identify an A12GX block and cam by the casting numbers? I've just pulled down my GX engine for a rebuild and noticed it has slightly dished pistons. I was under the impression they had flat tops. Do I have a standard bottom end? Joel

The short block is more or less the same (so there probably are no special ID marks), but the cam and pistons should be different.
