Engine conversion day1....

i took the a12 out today.I have my wicked A14 with me and ready to go into the engine bay all i have to do is rub the engine bay down, prime it and then paint it tommrow(wensday) , then the engine can be put in , but theres rain !!!!! means paint not drying!!! :(
the problems i faced today with getting the A12 out suxed the idots that put my extractors on didnt make them detachable, which meant they welded the extractors on to the exhaust so i couldnt take the engine straight out cause the extractors got in the way we had to take starter motor off, take gearbox off, flywheel, clutch assmebly off, mech fuel pump off etc...... so the new motor would require the same thing to put in , but instead gonna cut extractors off and make a flange kinda thing which the exhaust place should have dones (that will teach me next time i will check places work more thoughly)More work, but need to get it done hopefully it is smooth saling from here (touch wood)

oh boo hoo you make it sound so hard
think what that a-14s gonna be like anyway, im wondering why you didnt take motor and gearbox out as one??? much easier specially when putting back in and there is only what four or six nuts holding the extractors to the motor anyway

i wish we could have taken the motor and gearbox off as one! we could of if the extractors were detachable from the ehaust system
but they are welded on so it wasnt possible to take the engine/gearbox out as one the A14 will be easy, cause the extractors are gonna get hacked and put back better, the people who did the job did a shocking Weld as well oh maybe it was done by Fat Fit (aka fast fit).... never again

oh #### that place is a chain????
i had my first exhaust done here locally by fast fit and they did an absoulte shocking job aswell, put a huge moffler hanging low and only mounted on one side, it swund round like crap and where they bent an old tailpipe i had they bloody halved the thing in size, not going back there for anything!
